Washington D.C.

                                                                           
Washington D.C. is a city on the east of the USA. It's got a polulation of about 600,000 people and there is a lot of tourism there, it is also the most visited city in the USA. It's area is about 177km2. The Potomac river is next to Washington D.C.

I like Washington D.C. beacuse I think it is a very nice place. There are a lot of shops, restaurants and interesting buildings, like the memorials. My favourite place is the Mall, because all the monuments and museums are there, The most impportent museum is the Smithsonian, and my favourite one is the Air and Space Museum. There is also the Library of the Congress, that the biggest one in the world.

The name of the city is taken from the first president of the USA: George Washington, and the tallest building in the city is the Washington Monument.
